A cold sunny morning, cheered on by Caitriona, the boys and my dad, made for a good time. The boys really enjoyed the Kids Zone activities afterwards.
An unspectacular time but reasonable performance, especially catching a runner in the final run.
I don’t remember any details as I neglected to write the race report until almost 3 months after the event.
A reasonable time considering the humidity of the day and the lack of running training (most training was for the Ring of Kerry cycle).
Only 22s off my PB in 2010 despite only a few training sessions, some which included a walk break. I used Virtual Partner during the race to motivate me.
Wow – only 17 sec slower than my 10k PB from 2007! Also a massive improvement on my 43m00s in the original Tunnel Run in December 2006. No Garmin or km markers to help so I just kept pushing.
