As a regular Today FM listener it’s impossible not to know about their Shave or Dye campaign. Last year my brother-in-law got his head shaved as part of the campaign. He was part of the World Record for Most Heads Shaved in One Hour by a team of 10 hairdressers.
As my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer late last year my wife suggested I participate in the campaign this year. I set up a fundraising page on mycharity.ie and the donations started to roll in – everyone has been so generous. I have been overwhelmed.
So, it eventually came time to do my bit – I dyed my hair (using “Punk Pink” dye/gel from my wife’s coworker) and then shaved it off the next morning. My 4 year old son helped with the clippers in the shaving.
