This year my wife and I are growing even more fruits and vegetables than ever before (apples, cherries, potatoes, peas, raspberries, strawberries, courgettes, carrots, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, chilli peppers, lettuce) so we need to water frequently.
We have thought about getting a water butt for a while but worried about space in the side entrance. Then we saw a narrow one in Argos.
After a struggle to install it (the diverter on the drain pipe was a little small for our drain pipe), we were out of town for a few days and came back to an overflowing water butt.
It’s very satisfying to be growing all this stuff without using the water supply. Now I just wish I had space for another water butt.
